Quotient
A quotient is the result of performing a division
For example if we divide 8.6 by 2, we get 4.3. So the quotient is 4.3
Sometimes, when the division is not exact, the quotient is the
integer part of the result.
So for example 15 divided by 2 is 7 with a remainder of 1. Here, 7 is the quotient
and 1 is the remainder.
The elements of division
When we divide say A by B, A is called the dividend, and B is called the divisor:
